Belly Types We Commonly See
Not all bellies are the same—and that matters. Many people assume they just “need to lose weight, but your midsection shape often reflects hydration, hormones, digestion, stress, and muscle tone.
I broke them down into 3 categories. Body Type A, Body Type B, and what I like to call the Unique One
Belly Types Common in Women
- Bloated Belly (TYPE A)— Fullness that comes and goes (often digestion or water retention). Flatter AM, fuller PM.
- Hormonal Belly (Unique One)— Steady midsection weight tied to hormonal shifts (sleep, cravings, fat storage). Often connected to Estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, cortisol, cycle changes, perimenopause/menopause, or PCOS.
- Stress Belly (Unique One)— A rounder, softer belly that can show up with chronic stress, poor sleep, inconsistent eating habits, all affecting cortisol levels.
- Mommy Belly (TYPE B)— Common after pregnancy (or major weight changes) when the core has shifted, often needing supportive, core-focused work (not just more ab exercises). May include a lower-belly pooch/loose skin and a weak-feeling core.

Belly Types Common in Men
- Beer Belly (TYPE A)— Alcohol, high-fat meals, overeating, naturally store fat around the organs (visceral fat).
- Stressed Belly AKA: Fight or Flight (Unique One)— physical, psychological, or environmental stress produces cortisol. Note if you get worse the next few days after one treatment, seek medical care to have blood work done to see what is going on.
- Soft Belly (TYPE A)— low muscle tone, excess subcutaneous fat, due to poor diet, no type of work routine, age related or sedentary lifestyle.
- Puffy Belly (TYPE A)— Water retention or digestive imbalance.
Session length & Results for Body Type A, B, and The Unique One
Disclaimer: Every client responds uniquely to treatment, so results and timing may vary. While many clients experience positive outcomes, specific results cannot be guaranteed.
- Body Type A: Every 72hours - 3-6 days minimum (after 4-weeks, must take 1 week break - typically see results immediately or up to 3 days)
- Body Type B: 0nce a week minimum (typically 3-6 days to see results)
- The Unique one: 7 days or more (typically 5-7 days to see results)
